The FAI Primary Schools 5s is one of the largest and most popular primary school soccer competitions in Ireland. The competition has been running since the mid-1990s, with the aim of giving every child in 4th, 5th and 6th class the opportunity to participate in football.

The local competitions begin in early March, with boys’ and girls’ teams from schools taking part in a series of matches at the DKIT or Albion Rovers football pitches. It is a hugely enjoyable event that the children look forward to each year, providing them with the opportunity to represent their school, develop their football skills and, most importantly, enjoy playing the game with their friends.
