We welcomed Heritage Ireland Specialist Ross Cochrane to the school last week to engage the pupils in lessons about local flora and fauna using their immediate environment. He taught the children how to pick nettles without getting stung. He also played an Echolocation game with children, explaining how syrup can be made from tree sap.
