We had our first assembly of the 2023/2024 academic year in the Community Centre on Friday. All the classes from the school came to the hall. Ms. Mc Guinness spoke to all the children about maintaining and creating a positive school culture. The children were encouraged to “See the glass half full”! The children came up with some wonderful ideas of how we can make sure that Dul;argy NS is a positive school in which to work and learn. They suggested showing respect, being kind and caring towards one another and to share. They spoke about taking part in fun activities to ensure that everyone is happy at school and get more opportunities to learn new skills.

Following this the children participated in a prayer assembly led by Ms.  Mathews. Children from the senior classes read the prayers and the children from the junior classes brought up the symbols. The entire school sang the songs “Together Again” and “This is the Day”. It was a lovely prayerful start to the new school year.

The children who celebrate their birthdays in September and October were wished a happy birthday.

Finally, Ms Mc Guinness acknowledged some of the WOW achievements of some of the children throughout the school.

It was a lovely celebration and a nice way to come together as a school community.
