The children from 6th class were invited on a tour of Leinster House by past Principal Jim D’Arcy. The children were met at the gates by Senator John Mc Gahon and were treated royally on their tour. They met TDs Ruairí Ó Murchú, Fergus O Dowd and Minister for Housing Darragh O’ Brien. The children were brought on a tour around Leinster House, which included a visit to the viewing gallery of The Dáil and also the viewing gallery of The Seanad where they were afforded the opportunity to watch and listen to political debates. Following the tour the children were treated to lemonade and treats in the Dáil bar with Jim D’Arcy and Senator John Mc Gahon. Such a wonderful opportunity for all!
To finish the day away the 6th class were brought on a quick tour around the National Museum of Ireland where they got to explore the treasures and wonders from Ireland’s past.
