Here at Dulargy N.S we believe that “schools play a vital role in the promotion of wellbeing through a range of activities to support the academic, physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual development of all children and young people”.

We are conducting a review year with regard to the School Self-Evaluation Programme and our focus is on Wellbeing. We aim to enlist the support and help from all members of the school community in doing this. At present we are seeking the voice of the pupils on how we can enhance their wellbeing in the school. A survey will be sent out to parents to elicit their opinions and ideas too. The teachers and school management will also provide insights and feedback on how we can enhance wellbeing for our pupils in Dulargy NS.

Without a doubt, sport plays a central role within the school and will continue to be promoted through GAA, soccer and basketball training and competitions. The Parents Association have kindly organised Mindfulness lessons for the children in 1st and 2nd class. This is organised through the “Mindfulness in Schools Project”. The children also enjoy many sporting activities in the school including GAA, Rugby, Sports Days, Local Walks etc. We promote wellbeing of children at our school.
