The Green-Schools’ mission is to protect planet Earth – home to which we all belong – and they want everyone involved! Here at Dulargy N.S. we are involved in the Green School Initiative. We work hard to ensure that our school is an environmentally friendly community and place that we share with one another. Various initiatives have been implemented throughout the school such as:

• Recycling bins for plastic, cardboard and compost waste are available throughout the school.
• Outdoor School Garden – a place where pupils can sit and relax, take short strolls and congregate in our outdoor classroom.
• Spring planters and flower pots – on display throughout the school. These are filled with a myriad of bulbs and flowers which are set to blossom and bloom throughout the spring and summer.
• Biodiversity projects – to explore the homes and habitats of various animals and species in our immediate environment.
