There is a vibrant GAA football community in Dulargy NS. The children in all classes have been very fortunate to receive top class coaching and training from specialised coaches supported by St. Patrick’s GAA club, for which we are very thankful. This takes place every Thursday in the school and involves all classes in the school on a rotational basis.
The boys and girls from 5th and 6th class have also been afforded the opportunity to participate in the Cumann na mBunscoil GAA competition. The philosophy of Cumann na mBunscol is to promote Gaelic games in an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment and to make Gaelic Games the games of choice in our Primary Schools This competition enables the children to compete against other local schools in a fun and enjoyable way and promotes and teaches sportsmanship skills. To date, our school has performed very well in the competition and the children are delighted to be taking part in it.
